Great British Bake Off contestant Brendan Lynch raising bread for charity

A GREAT British Bake Off contestant will be revealing the secrets of baking great bread – and raising money for a good cause at the same time.

Baker Brendan Lynch, who lives in Frome, was a finalist in the Channel 4 show and is a keen supporter of the town’s Active and in Touch Frome charity.

The charity helps combat loneliness and isolation in the community, hosting friends’ groups, running Community Cars and a cafe at the medical centre.

And on September 13, visitors to the Trinity Hall, in Trinity Street, will be able to get some tips and tricks from Brendan as he reveals how to make various breads.

The event is set to run from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, and tickets cost £10. Tea and of course, cake, are included in the ticket price.
