Police appeal as biker seriously injured in M5 crash

A BIKER was taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after a crash on the M5 yesterday (Friday).

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dashcam footage, which happened at around 10.30am between junctions 23 and 24.

Avon and Somerset Police said the crash involved a silver BMW 1 Series and a black Triumph motorbike on the northbound carriageway, around half a mile before junction 23.

“The air ambulance has conveyed the male motorcyclist to hospital with serious injuries,” a spokespersons said.

“We’re particularly keen to hear from any motorists who were in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident or either vehicle before the collision occurred,” they added.
