Group fight breaks out on the streets of Blandford

A FIGHT between two groups broke out on the streets Blandford street in the early hours of Sunday morning (April 28) – leaving people with serious injuries.

Police were called to reports of an incident between The Crown Hotel, in West Street, and The Greyhound, in Market Place, at around 2.25am.

“Officers attended and spoke to the groups at the scene,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.

“During the incident, one man sustained a fractured eye socket and a second man sustained facial injuries.

“They both attended hospital for treatment.”

PC James Owen, of North Dorset police, added: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“If you have information about those believed to be involved, please get in touch.”
