Burned out BMW on Wincanton roundabout this morning

COMMUTERS making their way in and out of Wincanton this morning were confronted with a dramatic sight – the shell of burned out car.

The vehicle, believed to be a BMW, was completely destroyed by a blaze believed to have happened at around 6am this morning (April 11).

Somerset Council contractors on the scene said they expect the road to have to be relaid after the incident, with the timescale for repairs not yet known.

UPDATE: The car, believed to be a BMW X3, was removed from the scene at around 1pm on Thursday afternoon.
