Squatters removed from Glastonbury house – which is now boarded up

PEOPLE who had taken over an empty house in Glastonbury and squatted in the property have been referred for support after being moved on.

The property has been boarded up after work by Avon & Somerset Police and Glastonbury Town Council to evict the squatters.

“The Street and Glastonbury Neighbourhood Policing Teams have been working in partnership with Glastonbury Town Council to secure a house that was taken over as a squat,” a police spokesperson said.

“The property has now been boarded up to stop people re-entering.

“We have referred the individuals using the property to outreach workers so they can receive the required support.”
