Blandford surgery services to close for funeral of “much-loved” team member Stephanie Legg

STAFF and patients from a Blandford surgery will gather to pay tribute to team member Stephanie Legg, who passed away suddenly last month.

Stephanie, a member of the Patient Services Team at the Blandford Group Practice, passed away on Sunday, December 10.

And staff at the surgery will be given time to attend her funeral on Tuesday, January 9, meaning phone lines, the Anima online service and walk-in queries will not be operational that day.

“Steph worked for the practice since November 2022 and quickly became part of the family and was known to her colleagues as ‘Leggers’,” a spokesperson said.

“Steph was dedicated to answering the phone, often taking overtime shifts, and signposting patients to the care they needed.

“She was a well-loved, respected member of the team and will be very missed.

“Outside of work, Steph was a much-loved mother, daughter and sister, and our thoughts are with her family and friends during this very sad time.

“We would like to take the opportunity to thank patients in advance for their patience and understanding during this time,” they added.

Patients who require medical assistance on January 9 should call 111, or in an emergency, 999.
