Car left on its roof after crash in Gillingham

THIS was the scene in Gillingham last night after a crash in the town centre.

A car was left on its roof after an incident in the High Street at around 4.30pm on Wednesday (December 3) evening.

Emergency services were sent to the scene and the road closed while investigations got underway.

At least one other vehicle was also damaged in the incident, it is understood.

Dorset Police said they were called to the scene, with a spokesperson adding: “Officers attended and vehicle recovery was arranged.

“A woman sustained injuries not believed to be serious.

“The local authority was notified due to reports of oil on the road.”
