Man died in grounds of Yeatman Hospital in Sherborne

THE death of a man found unresponsive outside the Yeatman Hospital in Sherborne is being treated as non-suspicious.

Dorset Police said the man was found at around 1.55pm on Friday, January 5, in the grounds of the hospital, in Hospital Lane.

“Emergency services attended and, very sadly, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene,” a spokesperson said.

“The man has been identified and his next of kin have been notified.

“The death is currently being treated as non-suspicious and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

“It is believed that no one else was involved in the man’s death.”
