Davidson, the driver of the Corsa, was later charged and appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning (July 6) where he was remanded into custody ahead of his next appearance, at Salisbury Crown Court, on August 5.
PC Craig Beales, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This was a serious collision in which the victim suffered significant injuries, and Davidson has now been charged in connection with it and remanded into custody.
“I’d like to thank our colleagues from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary for their assistance in securing evidence.”
