Young people’s ideas sought for phone box redesign: Prizes up for grabs!

YOUNG people are being urged to submit design ideas for a Dorchester phone box.

The traditional red box, next to Shire Hall, has been bought by the Dorset Climate Action Network (CAN) under the BT Adopt a Kiosk scheme = and they now want to redesign it.

And the organisation is calling for help from people aged between four and 18 to submit ideas for how the phone box could look – and what it could be used for.

Entries are being accepted on ideas for posters, artwork or sculptures, creative shelving and interior spaces, exterior design and colouring, recycled or upcycled creations, educational displays or messages, interactive ideas, neon signs, poetry or environmental pledges, and more.

Prizes are being offered for top entries from first schools, middle schools, upper schools and sixth forms, with submissions to be received by the end of the summer term from schools, and by the end of the summer holidays from individuals.

People can request an entry form by emailing dorsetcan@gmail.com, or through their school or college.
