Police appeal after two 14-year-olds girls sexually assaulted at festival

POLICE are appealing for information after two teenage girls were sexually assaulted at a popular Gillingham festival.

The girls, both aged 14, were attending Tractor Fest at the Turnpike Showground on Saturday, June 6 when, at around 10pm, they were approached by two men in the area between the music stage and the VIP toilets.

One of the men is reported to have inappropriately touched one of the teenagers over her clothing and tried to kiss her.

The second man is also reported to have inappropriately touched the other victim over her clothing.

The first man is white, 5ft 10in tall and of a muscular build with blond hair. He was wearing a burgundy-coloured Ralph Lauren shirt and green boots.

The second man is white, 6ft tall and of average build with platinum blond hair. He was wearing a red and white rugby shirt with the O2 symbol.

Sgt Matt Brennan, of North Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to support the victims and are carrying out a full investigation into this matter.

“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please come forward.

“I would also urge anyone who attended the event to please review any photos or video footage taken during the evening to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
