POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary at a home in a rural lane in Thornford.
Officers from the Sherborne Neighbourhood Policing Team said the break-in took place on Bembury Lane sometime between Sunday, February 15 and Thursday, February 26.
During the incident, offenders entered a property and stole jewellery and a safe.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or who may have information about the theft, to come forward.
Residents are also being reminded to check that their homes are secure.

Officers stressed that Dorset Alert should not be used to report crimes or incidents requiring urgent attention, as the system cannot log these reports.
