NEW Home Office figures reveal how many asylum seekers are living in hotel accommodation in Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire – and across the country.

The data, made up of the latest government numbers, up to the end of September, reveals how many people are housed in hotels broken down by local authority area.

It reveals in the Somerset Council area, there were 220 asylum seekers being temporarily housed in hotels.

In North Somerset, there were 64, while in Dorset and Wiltshire Council areas, there were none.
