Entries open for 2025 Blackmore Vale Half Marathon: All you need to know

ENTRY is open for the 2025 Blackmore Vale Half Marathon.

Organised by the Blackmore Vale Lions Club (BVLC), the event will take place on February 2, at Bishop’s Caundle Recreation Ground.

The annual event, which draws hundreds of participants from across the Vale and beyond, will get underway at 11am.

“This year our chosen charity is Diabetes UK,” said a BVLC spokesperson. “We are indebted to our runners and sponsors for the money raised which will allow BVLC to make a sizeable donation to Diabetes UK, support many other charities and needy and deserving (not necessarily the same thing) causes.”

Anyone who wants to make a donation, join BVLC, or get more details, should call 0845 833 7423 and leave a message.

Meanwhile, people are being to support runners on the day.

“Come and support the runners but please give them a wide berth if you are driving,” the spokesperson added.

“Runners should be clear of the course by 3.30pm. Come and help them do their bit.”

People can enter the event online at https://englandathletics.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/28524, via the BVHM website at https://bvlhm.yolasite.com, or by post (entry form on the website).

Entries close at midnight on January 31. Some will be accepted at the village hall on the day, before 10am.
