POLICE and a worried family are urgently appealing for help to find a missing 49-year-old man who has not been seen for months.

Jamie, from Spetisbury, was reported missing after leaving his home at around 10.30am on Friday, January 9, and concerns for his welfare are continuing to grow.

He is described as around 5ft 11in tall, of medium build, with dark brown hair.

It is now believed he was wearing a grey or brown coat, jeans and wellington boots when he left.

In a heartfelt appeal, his family have urged him to make contact and asked the public for help in bringing him home.

They said: “Jamie – you are missed and loved by a lot of people. Your family, friends and work colleagues want you to return safe and well.

“If you’re reading this, then please just pick up the phone and let us know where you are. We are very concerned and want to make sure you are ok.

“We urgently need the public’s help to find him. Please take a look at the image of Jamie and reach out to the police if you have seen him or have information about his whereabouts.”

Officers have been carrying out extensive searches, supported by specialist teams including the National Police Air Service and Dorset Search and Rescue.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Graham said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Jamie’s welfare and are continuing our searches to locate him, assisted by the NPAS helicopter and DorSAR (Dorset Search and Rescue).

“We are renewing our appeal for information from the public for information to help find him and I would ask anyone who knows where he is, or has seen anyone matching his description, to please contact us.

“We are also continuing to ask anyone in the farming community or landowners in the surrounding areas to please check their land and outbuildings in case Jamie has sought shelter somewhere.”
