Free Yeovil event to celebrate diversity of town

A COMMUNITY event in Yeovil this weekend will celebrate unity, collaboration, and cultural diversity.

Love Yeovil and Somerset Diverse Communities (SDC) is hosting the Yeovil Together community event to share and celebrate culture, bringing the community together at Westlands Entertainment Venue from noon to 5pm on Sunday (July 2).

The free, family-friendly fun day is open to all and will give visitors the chance to experience culturally diverse flavours of Yeovil, creative workshops, and free wellbeing activities and join in by wearing clothes that celebrate your cultural heritage.

Attractions include: Culturally diverse food, live music, performances and interactive dance, family-friendly culturally creative workshops, stalls run by a variety of organisations, well-being activities, Yeovil Cricket Festival, miniature railway and more.

The event has been organised by: Yeovil Romanian Association, South-West Italian Community and Friends, Yeovil Polish Community

Yeovil Ukrainian Community, Somerset African Caribbean Network, Somerset Women of Colour Network, South Somerset Filipino and Friends Association, Yeovil Indian Association, Take Art, YDH Diversity Network, Young Somerset, Yeovil Art Space, Yeovil Diversity Project.
