Man found dead in Blandford, police confirm

A MAN has been found dead in Blandford, according to police.

The discovery came this morning (June 30) when police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the Woodhouse Mews area of the town at around 8am.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

“Dorset Police received a report at 8.05am on Friday, June 30, that a man had been found unresponsive in the area of Woodhouse Mews in Blandford,” they said.

“Officers attended, along with the fire and ambulance services, and very sadly the man was confirmed to be deceased.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing to identify and inform the man’s next of kin.

“Local officers will be conducting patrols in the area to provide reassurance to members of the community and can be approached by anyone with concerns.”
