A WOMAN was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Dorchester.
Police are investigating the collision, which occurred some time around 8am on Tuesday morning (November 29) in Prince of Wales Road.
It involved a black Renault van and the pedestrian, a woman in her twenties.
She was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be serious, police said.
Police Sergeant Geraint Butler, of the traffic unit, said: “Although the vehicle involved was reported to have failed to stop, it was located shortly after.
“Our enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please come forward.
“I would also like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while emergency services dealt with the incident.”
