Woman seriously injured in crash on A30 Babylon Hill near Sherborne

A WOMAN was seriously injured after a crash near Sherborne.

The incident happened on the A30 Yeovil Road, at Babylon Hill, at around 3.25pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, December 20).

Police said the crash involved a white Ford Ranger, a grey Ford KA and a blue BMW 1 series.

The driver of the BMW – a woman in her 30s from Sherborne – was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured.

PC Tom Ringer, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances of the collision.

“I am appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken with officers to please come forward.

“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who has a dashcam fitted to their vehicle and may have captured anything of relevance that might assist our investigation.

“Finally, I would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding during the road closure, which allowed us to carry out a detailed examination of the scene.”
