A CRASH that saw the fire service free one of the casualties from a car has resulted in two people going to hospital.
A black Audi Q3 and a grey Ford Fiesta crashed near the Golden Fox pub in Sturminster Marshall at around 4.30pm yesterday (July 31).
The road was shut until 7.45pm to allow emergency services to assist.
The Audi driver, a woman in her 70s from the Poole area, and the female driver of the Ford in her 20s, also from Poole, were both taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

One of the casualties was assisted from the vehicle, but the other had to be cut free using specialist hydraulic cutting equipment.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.
PC Dan Yates, of the roads policing team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and are seeking anyone with relevant dashcam footage to please get in touch.
“I am also keen to speak to any motorists who saw the incident or the manner of driving of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience while the road closure was in place, as this allowed us to carry out a detailed scene examination to assist our investigation.”
