Person cut free from crashed car near Sturminster Marshall

FIRE crews had to cut a person free from a car following a crash near Sturminster Marshall yesterday (July 31).

An ambulance and firefighters from Poole and Wimborne were called to the A350 Blandford Road near to the Golden Fox pub at around 4.40pm to care for two casualties.

One of the casualties was assisted from the vehicle, but the other had to be cut free using specialist hydraulic cutting equipment.

The road was blocked for around an hour and a half to allow emergency services to carry out their work.
