“The school’s high attendance is a testament to how much children value their education,” inspectors added.

“They behave with compassion and sensitivity to others and appreciate the warm relationships that they have with staff.”

Inspectors said pupils are encouraged to flourish, with year six leaving school well-prepared for the next stage of their education.

Children starting at Trent Young’s were found to have settled in quickly, gaining independence and confidence.

The report said: “Children in the early years get off to a good start. They are confident and content and enjoy their time in school.”

“This outcome reflects the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils, and the support of our community.

“We remain committed to instilling in all pupils our vision, ‘To let your light shine’ – encouraging them to flourish and excel as happy and healthy pupils.”

Trent Young’s was also found by inspectors to “excel in developing pupils’ wider awareness of the world”.

A school spokesperson said: “An extensive range of clubs is on offer, from gardening to sign language, and pupils are encouraged to embrace leadership roles such as ‘peace makers’ and ‘school buddies.’

“Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) thrive in an inclusive environment, achieving well with tailored support to access the same curriculum as their peers.”
