It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Terence Cyril Leigh Preston, who left us on 6th November 2024 at the age of 78 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Known to his friends as Terry, he was a devoted Father, a beloved Grandfather and a cherished friend to many.

Born on 9th October 1946 in Birmingham, Terry will forever be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and friends, his boundless generosity, and his ever-present sense of humour. His willingness to lend a helping hand and his quick wit made him a source of joy and support for all who knew him.

Terry had a passion for playing the electric guitar – a love he proudly passed on to his grandson, ensuring his musical legacy will endure. He truly touched the lives of those around him and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter and treasured memories.

A funeral service to honour and celebrate Terry’s life will take place on 25th November 2024 at 9:15am at Rawdon Crematorium in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Terry to Lymphoma Action, reflecting Terry’s compassionate spirit and commitment to helping others.

Terry will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
