So sad to learn that Piero passed away after Christmas. The last visit to his home was in the summer of 2021 where, as my former singing coach, we took to the scores of his favourite baritone roles and accompanied me at the piano. It was a lovely occasion and as always Piero and his wife Francesca were excellent hosts.
I shall miss Piero’s fun and enjoyment of music and opera and of course our times together.
