Students at The Gryphon School in Sherborne are celebrating excellent GCSE and BTEC results.

Connie Symms achieved ten grade 9s and a BTEC Distinction*. She said: “I can’t believe it, I’m so happy!”

Twins Holly and Chloe Gillett, achieved a fantastic fourteen 9s, six grade 8s and a distinction between them.

Holly said: “I was really nervous, I have worked so hard and tried my best, and kept up with all the online learning during lockdown, so I’m just incredibly happy today.”

She will be going on to study biology, chemistry and maths, which she hopes will enable her to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. Chloe is staying on for Sixth Form to study film, biology, chemistry and English language.

Henrietta Love achieved an amazing nine grade 9s and two 8s. She said: “It feels incredible, I was expecting to do ok, but I’m so pleased with my results!”

Edward Palmer achieved a brilliant seven grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and a 7. He said “I am thrilled, just really, really pleased. I’m looking forward to being able to celebrate with friends.”

Rosie Beeson got five grade 9s, three 8s and three 7s, and Charlotte Willis received five grade 9s, five 8s and a 7.
