Motorist comes forward over Dorchester incident which left teen injured

A MOTORIST has come forward after a police appeal over an incident which saw a teenager suffer a broken wrist.

The 13-year-old boy was injured after falling when he reportedly took evasive action to avoid a car in Kings Road, Dorchester, at around 8.50pm on Thursday, June 15.

After a CCTV appeal by Dorset Police, a spokesperson confirmed a motorist has come forward and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

“There was no direct contact with the car, however, the cyclist reportedly came off his bike as a result of the incident and sustained a broken wrist,” they added.

“It was reported that the car involved did not stop at the scene.

“Following an image appeal to identify the driver of the car involved, a motorist has come forward and is assisting officers with their ongoing enquiries.

“No arrests have been made.”
