THE Mayor of Blandford joined in the fun during a day of celebration to mark one resident’s 100th birthday.
Councillor Hugo Mieville dropped in to Ryan Court to see resident – and new centenarian – Florence Wallis.
A spokesperson from Ryan Court said: “After a lunch out with her family she returned to her retirement complex, to be surprised by a lovely tea party with her many friends and family.
“Florence was overwhelmed by the many gifts and flowers she received.
“The afternoon culminated with a visit by the Blandford Mayor. A fantastic day for a fantastic lady.”
