‘Sentimental’ jewellery stolen in Bridport burglary

JEWELLERY of ‘great sentimental value’ was among items taken during a burglary at a Bridport home.

Police are appealing for information after the incident, in the Lee Lane area, some time between 8.30am on Saturday, September 9, and 2pm the following day.

Burglars caused damage gaining entry to the property and stole several items of jewellery of great sentimental value to the victim, police said.

PC Tim Sturgess, of Bridport police, added: “Our investigation is ongoing and we have been making a number of enquiries, including house-to-house, to identify the person responsible.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area of King Charles Way and Lee Lane to please come forward.

“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone with relevant footage – either from dashcam or home CCTV.”
