Man suffers ‘serious leg injury’ after crash in Blandford

A MAN in his 20s suffered a “serious leg injury” after a crash in Blandford on Tuesday morning (April 15).

The incident occurred at around 8.53am in Bournemouth Road, near the junction with Chettell Way.

Police said the crash involved a white Ford Transit van and a black Honda motorcycle, with a man in his 20s taken to hospital.

PC Kier Dagnall, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I am keen to hear from anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.

“I would ask any local residents or motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident to please review their home CCTV cameras and dashcams to see if they have captured anything of relevance which may aid our investigation.

“Finally, we would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures, which were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond and for us to investigate this incident.”
