VICTIMS of rape and serious sexual assault are being asked to speak out and help shape how services are delivered.
Dorset Police has launched a victims’ survey to gather feedback as part of ongoing work to mark 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
The study aims to highlight what is working well, identify areas for improvement and ensure support services meet victims’ needs.
The ‘Experience Survey for victims of Rape and Serious Sexual Assault’ form can be found on the Dorset Police website.
Participants will also be signposted to additional support services.
Operational lead for violence against women and girls at Dorset Police detective superintendent Neil Wright said: “It is vital we continue to put victims at the centre of our work to tackle rape and serious sexual offences, so that more victims feel confident to come forward in the knowledge they will be supported and we will do everything in our power to bring perpetrators to justice.”

If you have been a victim of rape or sexual assault, call 101 and ask for a specially trained officer. In an emergency, dial 999.
Support is available from The Shores Sexual Assault Referral Centre on 0800 970 9954.
