Gillingham nursery lands top business award for eco efforts

A GILLINGHAM nursery has been rewarded for its environmental efforts.

Tops Gillingham received the Green Eco Award for the firm’s unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices at the inaugural Gillingham Business Awards.

The awards celebrated entrepreneurship and community impact, were held at The Old Brewery Café and Kitchen.

Mayor Cllr Barry Von Clemens was on-hand, alongside a gathering of enthusiastic businesses.

Organiser Nigel Reeve, of Marketing West Events, highlighted the significance of the awards in recognising the vital role local businesses play in the region’s economic fabric.

“The Gillingham awards are a testament to the dedication and contributions of businesses that form the backbone of our local economy,” he said.

“They commend the entrepreneurship, innovation, and employment opportunities fostered by these remarkable establishments.”

Natahsa Holgate, nursery manager at Tops Gillingham, said: “We are honored to receive the Green Eco Award, recognising our dedication to instilling eco-friendly practices in our nursery.

“This award underscores our ongoing commitment to providing an environmentally conscious learning environment for the young minds in our care.”

Tops Day Nurseries thanked the Gillingham Business Awards for the recognition.
