Four hospitalised after A30 crash near Milborne Port

FOUR people were taken to hospital – one by air ambulance – after a crash near Milborne Port last night (September 7).

The incident happened on the A30, Sherborne Road, at around 6.15pm on Thursday evening and involved three vehicles.

Fire crews from Yeovil and Sherborne attended, along with a heavy rescue unit from Taunton, which was not required.

A Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Upon arrival, crews confirmed three vehicles were involved.

“Fire crews made all the vehicles safe and assisted police and ambulance crews.

“One casualty was taken to hospital via Helimed and three other casualties were taken to hospital by land ambulance.”
