Fire crews tackle garage blaze in Frome

A GARAGE in Frome was badly damaged in a fire in the early hours of this morning (November 18).

Crews were called to the scene at around 3am and found the 7 metre by 7 metre building “well alight” when they arrived.

Firefighters from Frome and Warminster tackled the blaze using breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and a main jet to prevent the fire spreading.

At around 7.45am a Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the fire had “been extinguished and the cause is believed to be accidental”.
