CCTV appeal after man attacked and hit with pint glass in Sherborne pub

POLICE are trying to identify a group of men who reportedly attacked a man and hit him with a pint glass in Sherborne.

The force said the victim, a man in his 40s, was pushed to the ground, punched in the face and hit with a pint glass by four men in The White Hart pub in Cheap Street at 10.25pm on Tuesday (August 5).

The group left the pub shortly after the incident and the victim was taken to hospital via ambulance.

PC Ben Hannigan, of Dorset Police, said: “As part of my investigation, I am issuing CCTV images of four men I would like to identify.

“I would ask anyone who recognises them or has knowledge of their identity to please contact us.”
