AWARD-winning fashion chain Fairfax & Favor looks set to open a branch in Shaftesbury.
The footwear and clothing company, which specialises in “British luxury fashion and rural vogue”, has applied for permission to install signage at the former HSBC, in The Commons.
Fairfax & Favor was founded in 2012, specialising in boots and shoes “inspired by country life”.
Now, having won numerous awards for their products, the company boasts six stores – with a seventh set to grace Shaftesbury.
It has applied for permission to install signage for a shop at the former bank.

“The proposed sign will be fitted in front of the existing ‘Midland Bank Limited’ sign, which will not be damaged by the installation, other than by screw fixings into the masonry,” the application said.
“Careful consideration has been given to the proposed signage to ensure that the significance of the heritage asset will be sustained while providing a viable use of the property.
“The proposed sign is intended to comprise hand painted gloss lettering on a painted timber backing, all in Fairfax & Favor style and colours (gold lettering on black background).”
