AN event celebrating the history, communities, ecology and conservation efforts of Cranborne Chase will take place next month.
Cranborne Chase National Landscape and Dorset Visual Arts have unveiled the
ChaseEscape Walking Festival 2026 programme.
A series of free events are designed to “help encourage people to access our National Landscape, bringing different groups and communities to the area to raise awareness of the area’s natural and cultural heritage”.
A spokesperson added: “Walks vary in length and difficulty, each focusing on a different aspect of our landscape, such as Iron Age hill forts, an elm tree nursery, chalk grasslands, a Gothic abbey and much more.
“As well as more traditional walks, our partners Dorset Visual Arts will be delivering walking workshops, encouraging participants to view the landscape and its heritage through different art mediums. These include drawing, handfelting and wax-resist painting, as well as making bird whistle pinch pots.”
