Teen arrested after alleged assault in Shaftesbury street

A TEENAGER has been arrested in connection with a reported assault in Shaftesbury.

Police said the alleged incident took place at around 7.40pm on Thursday, March 26, when a teenage boy was assaulted by another teen known to him, in Mampitts Lane.

“It was reported the suspect then left the area in a red Audi A3,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.

“The victim sustained minor facial injuries.

“Following enquiries by officers, an 18-year-old man from Shaftesbury was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

“He has been released on police bail as further investigative work is carried out.”
