Fire crews called to blaze at Dorchester home

NO one was hurt after a fire at a Dorchester home.

Crews from the town and from Weymouth attended the incident at around 7.53am on Friday morning (January 20).

A spokesperson from Dorset and Wiltshire Fore and Rescue Service said: “At approximately 7.53am two crews from Dorchester station and a crew from Weymouth Fire Station responded to reports of a property fire in Dorchester.

“Once in attendance it was confirmed that the property was smoke logged but thankfully all persons were accounted for.

“The fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus wearers with a hosereel jet.”
