Child hit by car towing caravan in Blandford expected to make full recovery

A THREE-year-old boy that was airlifted to hospital after they were hit by a car towing a caravan in Blandford has been released from hospital.

A white Seat Leon towing a caravan reportedly hit a child on a field by Blandford Leisure Centre in Milldown Road at around 4.34pm on May 8.

Dorset Police has now provided an update on the child, which they say is expected to make a full recovery.

A 19-year was arrested in connection with the crash, but police said they found no evidence of driving offences.

A spokesperson said: “Following this investigative work, officers have found no evidence of any driving offences and he has now been released from the investigation and will face no further police action in relation to the incident.”
