POLICE say they have received several reports of vans being broken into and tools stolen overnight in Gillingham.
Dorset Police is asking van owners to mark their vehicles to make them identifiable in case they are targeted.
A spokesperson said: “If you have tools in your vehicle mark them up and make them identifiable to you.
“You can pick up a property marking kit from your local Neighbourhood Policing Team, Gillingham Police Station is open on a Monday and Friday pop in and pick one up.
“If your vehicle has been broken into please report this to Dorset Police via 101 or our website.”
