This is why you might have seen some unusual cars on Yeovil roads this week…

A FUN adventure that sees around 500 unusual vehicles hit the road rolled into Yeovil on Thursday night (August 29).

The Carbage Run is an event featuring vehicles worth no more than £500 and at least 20 years old take on a series of challenges as they travel thousands of miles.

It saw tributes to vehicles such as the Ghostbusters car – Ecto 1 – role on to the Yeovil Showground on Tuesday night for a rest stop.

There to greet them were officers from the South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing Team, who enjoyed checking out the unique vehicles.

“Today’s challenge involved finding the tallest ‘Ben’ in Yeovil and returning to the Showground,” they said.

“We wish them a safe journey to their next destination and for the remainder of the hunt.”
