Land Rover left scene of Beaminster crash, police say

THE driver of a Land Rover left the scene of a crash in Beaminster.

Police are tracing a “young male” after an incident in The Square at around 6.30pm on Saturday (November 18), involving a black Toyota Yaris and a dark silver Land Rover.

“The young male driver of the Land Rover got out of his vehicle and asked if the Toyota driver was okay,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.

“He then said he would move his vehicle, but it is reported that he drove off toward Bridport without returning and did not leave any details.”

PC Dan White, of Bridport police, said: “I am carrying out an investigation and would ask witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please come forward.

“Also, I am appealing to the driver of the Land Rover to please get in touch so we can take your account of what happened.”
