Known in France as ‘vide-greniers’, nothing beats a leisurely stroll around a French-style vintage market on a sunny, long weekend. Rustic, elegant and casual, you can’t help but get inspired by The Dorset Brocante as it returns with its Spring ’22 Fair on Monday 2 May at Deans Court in Wimborne. The lanes will be frothing with cow parsley, and everyone is hoping for a beautiful, dry day outside in the garden, where 40 wonderful exhibitors will bring you the very best of cottagecore style with artisan gifts and homeware, unique vintage finds, and French Brocante.
If you are looking for gardenalia, rich textiles, vintage quilts, jewellery, slow fashion, or chippy painted furniture and accessories, you will be sure to find it at the Brocante. With local artisan foodies offering freshly ground coffee and light refreshments, you can relax in the cafe by the fishponds and enjoy a lovely spring day out.
Tickets can be bought at the gate: £7.50 for adults (children under 14 free); dogs on a lead are welcome, and there is free parking on site. Open from 10.30am-4pm, The Dorset Brocante is accessible for all, with gravel paths among the garden lawns.
