Police launch dog hunt after reported theft of puppy, Bonita

A FOUR-MONTH-OLD puppy is believed to have been stolen from a Dorset property.

Officers are investigating after terrier puppy Bonita was reported missing from a property in the area of Moorbath, near Bridport, some time between 11am and 1.30pm on Sunday (July 12).

A Dorset Police spokesperson also said witnesses reported seeing a maroon-coloured hatchback in the area around the time of the incident.

PC Seb Haggett, of Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team, added: “We are carrying out a full investigation into this incident and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.

“Finally, we are issuing an image of Bonita and would urge anyone who comes across a puppy of matching appearance in the area to please contact us.”
