DORSET Police is investigating reports that a 12-year-old girl was raped in a field outside The Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester.
Two 14-year-old boys from Weymouth were arrested on suspicion of rape, but they have since been bailed.
Police say the incident took place at around 7.45pm on Sunday (May 18) and that it is believed the girl met the two boys earlier in the day.
They added that a detailed investigation into this report is being carried out by detectives and specialist officers are supporting the victim.

Neighbourhood Inspector Sam Goom, of Dorset Police, said: “We take reports of sexual offences very seriously and my colleagues have been carrying out extensive enquiries into the incident in recent days while supporting the victim.
“You will see an enhanced police presence around the playing fields as officers maximise their efforts to recover evidence, please do not be alarmed by this.
“Your local neighbourhood officers will also be in the places and spaces surrounding the investigation.
“We recognise that this incident will cause concern within the community and we would like to encourage everyone to please approach the officers if you have any queries or concerns.”
