The RAC Saddle Club in Dorset raised £731 in aid of Ukrainian Equestrian Federation Charity Foundation and #Willdoes yesterday
Over 40 competitors gathered to compete in a charity dressage event at the equestrian centre in Bovington with entry fees and donations split 50/50 between both charities.
Children painted their ponies in the colours of the Ukrainian flag, with a number of local horse owners and businesses contributing to the success of the event.
The club extended thanks to Dorset Photo Event for their donation and Busy Birds who provided delicious food.
Yard manager of the RAC Saddle Club Steph Buchanan said: “We really wanted to do something to help and were overwhelmed by the response. It was great to see the kids rally together, as well as so many volunteers.”
