A WOMAN who drove at horse riders at speed in west Dorset has now been sentenced.
The motorist, who has not been named, came to a stop next to three horse riders on the B3164 near Broadwindsor on December 18.
She then began shouting at the horse riders before driving past several times and beeping her horn aggressively at them.
A woman in her 50s was interviewed by police in connection with the incident and was issued with a postal requisition to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on June 25 for driving without due care and attention.
She was subsequently sentenced and was given a £388 fine, five points on her licence and ordered to pay a £155 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.

PC Lauren Middleton, of the Rural Crime Team, is reminding people to abide by the Highway Code when it comes to horses and riders on roads.
“We want to ensure that everyone is able to use the roads safely, especially as we approach the summer months where we can expect to see more vehicles on the roads,” she said.
“To the equine community, we want you to feel safe. We hope that this is a clear message that when given the evidence, we will investigate and seek to prosecute and get you the justice that you deserve.
“Driving without due care and attention of horse riders is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.”
