Woman taken to hospital after two-car crash on A35

A WOMAN was taken to hospital with potential serious injuries following a two-car crash on the A35 near Dorchester.

Emergency services were called to the collision, involving a grey Hyundai i10 and a black Ford Fiesta, at around 4.20pm on Saturday, May 23.

The crash happened on the A35 between the Stadium Roundabout and the junction with the A352.

Dorset Police said the male driver of the Hyundai suffered injuries that are not believed to be serious.

Two female passengers travelling in the Ford Fiesta were taken to hospital, where one received treatment for possible serious injuries.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage as enquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

PC Mike Wells, from the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to any motorists who were travelling along the A35 and captured anything relevant on dashcam footage to please come forward.

“There would have been a number of vehicles in the area at the time and I would ask anyone who saw what happened to please get in touch.”
