Woman suffers ‘life-threatening’ injuries after crash near Dilton Marsh

A WOMAN suffered life-threatening injuries after a crash on the A3098 at Hisomley yesterday (March 4).

The crash happened at around 6.50pm when a white Seat Ibiza, driven by a Westbury woman in her 20s, is believed to have left the road on a right-hand bend before hitting a tree at the Hisomley Crossroads.

She was airlifted to Southmead Hospital with potentially life threatening leg and internal injuries.

The road was closed from Dilton Marsh High Street to the A36 Black Dog Hill junction and reopened by 7am this morning.

Wiltshire Police said anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash cam footage, should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 and quote log number 251.
