Weather warning for the Vale as temperatures set to hit freezing point

A WEATHER warning has been issued for much of Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset and beyond, as temperatures continue to fall.

The Met Office has warned people to expect icy patches to form this evening and overnight as the first major freeze of the winter hits.

A forecaster said: “Rain, sleet and snow will continue to clear southwards across England and Wales with clearing skies to follow.

“Temperatures are expected to fall below or close to freezing quite widely across the warning area with icy patches forming on untreated freezing surfaces.”

People are warned to expect icy patches on untreated roads, with the warning in place from 5pm today until 10am tomorrow morning (November 20).
